One Community Bank Hosts Annual Power of ONE Community Week!
One Community Bank is proud to participate in the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s annual Power of Community Week, held April 20 – 24. This statewide initiative highlights how community banks serve and support their local communities.
OCB celebrated the week with a community-wide food drive, visiting classrooms to teach financial literacy, and announced our upcoming Free Community Shred Event at OCB – Oregon.
“Our mission emphasizes the importance of investing in our communities, so we look forward to opportunities like Power of Community Week every year. Our colleagues do an incredible job of giving their time and effort to volunteering in their respective communities,” said Steve Peotter, President and CEO.
For our food drive, all OCB locations collected food and other non-perishable items donated by both clients and colleagues. We’re thrilled to donate over 1,500 pounds of food to local food pantries across the communities we serve!
Through the Teach Children to Save initiative, OCB colleagues provided financial literacy to students in grades K-2 and beyond. Our efforts spanned multiple communities throughout Wisconsin, helping children begin to understand the importance of saving and smart money habits.
OCB announced its upcoming Free Community Shred Event. It will be held on Saturday, July 11th, from 8 AM – 10 AM at OCB – Oregon. This event offers a safe, secure way for community members to dispose of sensitive documents. Everyone is welcome to bring up to 50 pounds of paper for shredding.
OCB is honored to host these initiatives in support of the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s annual Power of Community Week. OCB remains committed to giving back and supporting our communities, not just this week, but every week.
